Description

Costa Rican coffees are always a favourite amongst the Clandestino team and El Mirador is no exception. Perched high in Naranjo in the West Valley, this varietal is a Villa Sarchi, meaning it comes from a dwarf coffee tree. This ‘little coffee’ is standing tall boasting a big rounded mouthfeel with a juicy finish and floral aromas. A must-have for milk drinkers and bold coffee lovers.

Olman Aguilera and his 9 siblings inherited this coffee farm and plan to continue tradition handing it down to further generations. El Mirador is a Micromilled coffee, which further adds to why we love it. Micromills provide coffee farmers greater ability to directly experiment with processing methods meaning they can control the end flavour and quality of their beans, rather than those processed in bigger outsourced coffee mills.

Will you enjoy this bean?

For those who enjoy a rich body and incredible smoothness. If you have enjoyed our Purosa Estate from Papua New Guinea, or our most recent Nicaraguan than this one is for you. For best result we’re recommending it through an espresso machine or classic stovetop, however a plunger with also produce a delicious rich bold cup.

  • Designed by our in-house graphic designer, Megs Penfold, this series of four illustrated mugs each pays tribute to a concept that links to our brands heritage.

‘Made for Moments’ features an illustration of the Noosa Headlands, which is where our roastery doors first opened back in 2011.

Most of our team have lived in Noosa all our lives, we will always remain true to our roots and deeply connected to our local environment and this mug is a tribute to that.

‘Made for Moments’ is also our motto. The first triumphs in your day set the precedence of things to come. Start by brewing an amazing coffee, do it once and do it right, your family and friends will love you for it.
