We’ve had Purosa Estate on the shelf since our doors opened back in 2011. It’s the backbone of our house blend Magneto and sure is a crowd pleaser. Beautiful and bold with a rich palette, this coffee has dominant notes of nut, milk chocolate and dry fruits.

Imagine lush highlands and coffee trees growing on steep hills of this tropical island. You won’t get coffee that is more organic – the lack of infrastructure in PNG means only natural farming methods are used and the coffee is grown 100% free from pesticides and fertilisers. That’s why this single origin is NASSAA Certified Organic.

Purosa Estate is an extremely isolated coffee growing area located deep in the Papua New Guinea highlands. It has an average rainfall of 8,000 mm and nutrient rich volcanic soil. With high altitudes and cooler climates, it’s perfect for the cultivation of high-quality Arabica Coffee.

The coffee trees grow in small plots and farmers use traditional and natural farming methods only. The villages are often connected only by air travel and almost 70% of the population are still dependent on agriculture that employs village people for harvesting. This high-quality Arabica coffee has a full body with a smooth mouth feel and soft acidity.
