Red honey coffees are known for their exceptional complexity with a fuller, creamier mouthfeel and sweetness than natural processed coffees, while maintaining the clarity and flavour of the washed process. Sourced from smallholder producers in the Gedeb region, Tulisi showcases the meticulous approach to harvesting and processing that sets this origin apart. Cherries are selectively handpicked at peak ripeness and delivered to the washing station where there are fermented for 24 hours.
Then they are processed using the red honey method—where a controlled amount of sticky fruit pulp is intentionally left on the bean during drying.This allows the coffee to develop more complex flavours and a richer body, resulting in a sweet and fruity taste.

The cherries are laid to dry in shade and are turned frequently to ensure steady drying until its moisture content reaches 11.5% for up to 18 days. Drying takes place on African raised beds under careful supervision to ensure even fermentation and clean cup quality. The result is a vibrant filter coffee with a silky texture and a well-rounded cup profile.
